LipidsLife™ Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) Oil Powder
Non-restructure MCT oil is produced through physical distillation processes, which allow the powder to preserve the oil’s nature. MCT oil is derived from palm kernel oil (which is the richest source of MCT), with two typical concentration ratios of caprylic acid (C8) and capric acid (C10), 60%:40% and 70%:30%, respectively.
In our body, MCTs are sent directly to the liver and are metabolized in 1/8 the time of Long Chain Fat (LCT) without accumulating in the body as fat. MCTs provide about 10% fewer calories than LCTs – 8.3 cal/gr for MCTs vs 9 cal/gr for LCTs.
